#IWSG April 2015: When Something Good Happens

Butter melting on a huge bowl of popcorn...

Ice cream on a hot summer's day...

Your favorite chocolates...

Good news is like that, packaged in the yummiest of flavors just for you. It is meant to awaken the most wonderful feelings of happiness lying dormant within you for a long time. It is meant to be shared so that the good tidings will influence things for others, serving as a token of good luck, allowing them to receive their own good news.

For the group posting for this month's IWSG post, I'd like to focus on something good that had happened instead of the few rejections I've received lately.

You see, one of my manuscripts, written for children, was accepted on its first submission to a book publisher! I received the email last March 19, 2015. This is the same publisher I told you about before who asked for samples of my work. I sent some samples and wrote a new story for them, for a different age group, and they liked it! Yay! So happy!

What about you? What's your good news?

Any insecurities for this month?

Are you joining this month's A to Z Challenge? If so, good luck! I'll probably join it again next year.

Off to visit the IWSG host, Alex J Cavanaugh, the co-hosts for this month (Suzanne Furness, Tonja Drecker, Toi Thomas, Rachna Chhabria, Fundy Blue, and Donna Hole) and the other members. I'll see you next post. And please don't be shy if you are itching to leave a comment below. :-) Here's a HUGE and warm virtual *HUG*!

Sorry I got nothing like that. All I can say is I'm up to my elbows working on a WIP--still, again, etc. :-)

Here's my link if you'd like to drop by :-)

Congratulations! Sometimes it’s just nice to hear some good news even if it’s not about you. I hope all goes well with your publication process. Maybe we’ll cross paths next year as we both take on the challenge.

YAY! Congratulations!!! I just typed "The End" on the second book in my chapter book series...which is due April 15. My agent's on maternity leave, though, and doesn't realize I have this deadline, so I'm going to have to nudge her in a few days and say, "Do you want to submit this or do you want me to?"

Oh, feel free to grab any of the goodies pictured above. It's for everyone! :-)

@Alex J Cavanaugh: Hello, Alex! Thanks! I wouldn't have persevered if not for the support of the group. Thanks a million!

@Toinette Thomas: Thanks, Toinette! Yes, I hope to see you next year for the challenge.

@Patricia Lynne: Thank you, Patricia! Oh, I do hope so. I hope the other manuscripts would also find their own rightful homes.

@M.R.R.: Thank you, M.R.R.!

@Fundy Blue: LOL! Perhaps, next time. Actually, I was thinking of adding a cup of coffee, a mug of hot chocolate and cup of tea, and let everyone take their pick on what they prefer. I forgot about the glass of wine for those who love that. :-)

@Diane Burton: LOL! Go ahead, Diane, and get a handful. There's more from where that came from. :-) Thanks for the cyber wishes!

@Christine Rains: Thanks, Christine!

I know the feeling. Feel free to get some. :-)

And thank you so much for visiting!
