Sometimes, I tend to forget that each moment is like that, and that it should be viewed as a gift. Perhaps, it's because my mind is sometimes filled with worries, fears and other things that drag the spirit down and empty one's heart of hopes and inspiration.
2014 has been filled with ups and downs for me. Sometimes, the down part lasts longer than I would've wanted. Other times it's passing is like a blur that I only notice it when it's over.

As a whole, the year has been full. I've joined groups. I've met a lot of wonderful people. I've played the waiting game regarding the long time frame for submissions to book publishers. And, yes, I've had my share of rejections, worries and illnesses.
Now that I look back at all the experiences--bad or good--I can see why things happened that way. It's really different when you look at a situation from a detached position. You get to see all its angles. You end up standing there from a distance, not judging things, but appreciating all the good points and taking note of all the bad ones so that you won't slip into that one again next time. And you know what? I'm thankful that all these things happened. In a way, I feel strengthened. And before I look forward to the new year, I've got to remind myself that each moment is a gift. You should, too.
This is my last post for this year. Happy holidays! I'll see you next post! Virtual *hugs*!

That's a great thought, Sittie! Each moment really is a gift and should be cherished. :)
It all looks different from a distance. Bad or good, those moments shaped you into the person you are now.
I gain perspective on both good and bad experiences when time passes. I see how they have enriched my life in some way.
And if we don't take that time to appreciate the moment, it's moved on and we've missed the joy of it. Hope your Christmas was delightful and here's to a wonderful new year.
Sounds great!.
