#AtoZChallenge Post: D for Desert Rice by Angela Scott

This is one of the books that I like because I could really see and feel what was happening in the tale through the character’s eyes. It was a very good read.

Now for my Qs:

What types of books have managed to lure you into the tale and keep you there until you finish it? Care to share the titles?

Last year, the best book I read was The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
It was BRILLIANT!

If you are still looking for MG authors, there's a blogger doing a wonderful MG theme for the A to Z challenge:

I do love a book that grabs you and holds you until the end. Like a good love affair.

One of the books that always sticks out in my mind is Geraldine Brooks's People of the Book.

I finish almost every book I start, but the ones I put down, I do because of a lack of drive, or because I know exactly what's coming in the plot and I'm bored. Sometimes I think I read too much. Lately, I find myself putting books back on the shelf because I think: "I've read something just like this before." I know it's not true, but I guess I'm falling victim to the same thing agents face. They want something original. I'm finding that more and more with Indies rather than traditionally published works.

I read all kinds of books and they all capture me in their own way. There's only been a handful of books that I couldn't finish because I just couldn't get into the story, the characters, or even the author's writing.

I read the blurb for Desert Rice and WOW! It sounds really good!! Onto my TBR list! :D
