#AtoZChallenge Post: C for Chronicles of a Clocksmith by M. Doerner-Miller

Books for middle graders are some of the books I like to read. So, I got myself a copy of this one.

Do you like novels for young readers, too? Any favorites? What sort of books would you like to see for middle graders?

when my son was younger and he wanted to see How To Train Your Dragon, I made him a deal -- read the book and THEN I will take you to see the movie. He counter offered and said "If I read the book, will you?" So we've been doing this ever since. Now he's into the YA genre! :)

Hi there, Jamie! Good for you. What a neat way to influence your son to read books. Do kiss and hug him for me.

I love books for kids, middle graders. My son's almost ten and we read all the time. Just finished The Magician's Elephant. Interesting book, lots of big words and twist on language, and that's great, I think.
Love the post.

I haven't heard of this one, but I do love a good middle grade story. I read them to my littles all the time.

I've been reading a lot of middle grade/YA books this year. One is never too old to enjoy them! :)

Young readers aren't my favorite. I think it's because I always want more. :)

I'm really glad I happened upon your blog. Young Adult is a genre that I'd like to get more familiar with. I've been told that I should write a children's book but I think I'm more drawn to YA. Will be fun to get to know if this genre fits with my style or if I can tailor my style to fit the genre. You've given me lots to think about. Thanks for that!

==Silvia Villalobos: Nice to know that you and your son read all the time. Same here. Just couldn't get enough of books! :-)

"The Magician's Elephant" will be added to my list. Thanks, Silvia!

==David King: You're welcome. Yup, this one has a nice cover.

==Michelle Wallace: Got you on that, Michelle. Thank you for the suggestion! Will visit her site in a sec.

=== Crystal Collier: I love middle grade stories, YA books and those books for the youngest audience. They seem to have a lasting effect.

Your littles? Cute. I only have one.

===Chrys Fey: I agree. Age is never an issue.

===Charity Bradford: lol! No prob, Charity. Thanks for the visit!

===Teresa Powell Coltrin: Gotcha on that, Teresa. Doll bones? Oh my! :-) Horror stories are definitely for you. I like ghost stories, but i prefer those without gory details.

===Angelsbark: Trying your hand in various genres is cool and challenging. I'm doing the same--checking out how I'll fare with middle grade and YA now. That's why I'm reading books in these genres.

Good luck to you! Do keep me updated. And thank you for dropping by!

I loved anything by Louis Sachar when I was young. I'm just introducing him to my younger cousins now and they think he is hilarious!

Some books for the younger set are better than books for adults. As a children's author, I strive to make the book engaging for all ages.
